It’s easy to become absorbed and lose focus on a task, or go off track even. The same applies to Ramadan. It’s a good time as any to pull back and remind ourselves of the basics. And perhaps answer some questions we and/or our children have: What’s special about Ramadan? What should we do in Ramadan? What is the Qur’an? What does Allah want us to do?
I was blown away by how Allah has provided so many answers in this one ayah alone – Subhaan Allah!
Rabia Bashir is a British-Bangladeshi go-getter who guzzles green tea to get things done!
She lives with her travelling buddy and husband Irfan, plus two book-loving boys: Rayyan & Ridhwan.
Rabia has a Diploma in Mental Health Nursing and a Degree in Psychology.
She later became a CELTA teacher and lived in sunny Saudi Arabia for four years.
Creative writing has been Rabia’s passion since childhood. She has written poetry and drafted a novel for grown-up audiences. But after becoming a mom for the first time in 2016, writing Islamic children's books became her mission! And that's when she set up Precious Bees as a Sadaqah Jariyah project. In Ramadan 2020, Rabia changed the project's name to what she had originally wanted: Bismillah Bees.
